Autastic.com exists to provide resources and community for adult-identified autistic BIPOC. We are founded, led, co-created, and nurtured by neurodivergent, multiply disabled, and historically racialized autistic people, grounded in liberatory practice through an Afrocentric lens.
Created #ByUsForUs, Autastic fills the gap after adult identification so we can rebuild the lives we deserve, together.
👋🏽 I’m your host, Diane J. Wright. I learned I’m autistic with ADHD by chance in my forties. I went from knowing absolutely nothing about autism to living an entirely rebuilt life where my strengths thrive. I learned how and now I’m opening the door for others.
I’m honored to share with you what I’ve gained from the broader autistic community, advocates and autistic scholars, respected experts in human behaviour and psychology, leaders in racial and disability justice, and through my own trial and error. I’m here for my #AutisticBIPoC community and for all of you who have the opportunity to start over and live life true to your autistic self.
